Only way to know is to rip it apart. The manual one looks good if it's the motor, if it's not then you should be able to free/fix the mechanism
Let me know if you want help, shoot me a text

Got into the sway bar disconnect mechanism today. Found mud, junk & some rust was keeping the mechanism from moving smoothly. Cleaned both end out, wire brushed, added some new grease & it now works nicely. Glad the electronics were still good, turned out to be a cheap cleaning job.

Here what it looks like opened up:

Drivers side: you can see the gunk inside:

Passenger side:

Forgot to take picture after the clean up. The sway bar is back on the Jeep, skid back on, ready for wheeling.

Rubies have electronic sway bar disconnects? That is both incredibly awesome and totally unnecessary! ....I want one.

It’s one of those things that you do not know you need until you have one :-)

I'd be happy if the Xterra even had front sway bar disconnects available. Actually, I think they do but when you swing the arm up and out of the way it's at risk of suspension contact.

Most folks just remove the front sway bar on the X. There’s some ride impact but not as pronounced as in the Jeep with short wheelbase & solid axle.

I did the rear delete and I'm happy I did but as a DD I'm not so sure about the front. Maybe when I switch to HD coils I can get away with it.

Nothing was interchangeable? Bumper, wheels, etc.?

Thanks!! Saved the winch & CB.

I don’t need bumpers since it came with steel front & rear bumpers & the front one is winch compatible. Would’ve need an immediate lift and/or new fender flares for the tires to fit.
