So I bought myself a gift for ECXC thanks to Angel and Dana at ruff stuff.

Question about painting the bare steel, I know a few guys have these and wanted to know did you paint the inside or just the outside? I’m pretty sure it’s just the outside by figured I would ask.

Thanks in advance and I have to say the cover is so beefy, just awesome.

Just the outside bud. I sprayed down all the metal with brakekleen and cleaned all the machine oil off. I used blue shop towels. I used a good vch primer filler, around 3 coats. Then vhc roll bar and chassis paint. I did use an acrylic red for the gorilla. But have since gone over it with black. Have fun with it. Be unique lol

Mine is C200K from BF. Painted the outside only. Now to get around to installing the sucker.....

How do I make sure my rtv gasket (no lube lock for c200) doesnt bleed into the cavity when torqued down?Image

Follow the instructions on the rtv. It should tell you to apply and bead and let it sit for a specific amount of time before assembly. That is to let the rtv cure a bit and form the gasket

I used a little of the little blue permenex tube to seal the fill plug, because it didnt seal real good. Just a heads up to keep an eye on it.
