Thank you !!
It's an awesome piece, great quality as in all of the Bandit 4x4 products.
defiantly a great mod for all the first gen owners out there.
will do
on the install instructions ...
doing a custom gas tank mod right now
..lol
Carbide round burr grinder a must
+ the thickness of the cutoff wheel
some solid carbide bits from McMaster to get a nice pilot hole
Then use the round burr grinder to clean out the case hardened in the hole that factory uses to balance/ hold tail shaft while cutting splines. Then step up to a 1/2-20 tap drill (29/64) High speed jobber bits did the best! More aggressive cutting tip (118deg) and use a 130 set to finish hole
Hole depth about 1-5/8...
Tap with both a starting and bottoming tap
Tap as deep as possible
Depending on age and appearance of rear t-case seal replace if necessary...
If case has crawler gears... this should be the "last time" to install/remove the SYE, I put a bit of Loctite Anaerobic gasket maker on the splines then red loctited the 1/2-20 bolt in with a 1.75 OD 9/16 ID thick style washer
Drill, I used a 18v Milwaukee fit in there nice and worked great
