We got a pretty decent stack of toys between the five of us.
We attempted to enter The Ledge because the gates were open; an uppity little guy in an equally uppity little DCR truck chased us down and kicked us out. Apparently the trail is supposed to be closed and someone had "broken the gate" the previous night. So, we ran Copicut twice - once the usual way, then we circled back to the ranger station and entered the side roads there, looping back to Copicut for a second pass. Lots of activity today - a fair number of hunting trucks and a few folks just exploring the trails. We encountered a dude in an E-series van with dealer plates, a couple of Subarus (one of which turned around to follow us out after we demonstrated there was no way he was going to wade a two foot-deep puddle), and a good ol' boy with a big flag sticking out of his bed, among others. Some walkers, too.
T4T is usually where I get all my glamor shots for the year, but since Cindy wasn't there with her trusty camera, I couldn't help but circle back to Copicut/Cedar Swamp one last time for a few snaps.
