Welcome aboard, Brad! Where abouts in Weymouth do you live? I grew up in East Weymouth for the first 11 years of my life. Rcheliman also lives there.

Ok, so this will be my first trail run with a group and first in an X. (I've wheeled in a Jeep before) Keeping in mind that funds are severely limited, what are the must haves for the trail? I have a good flashlight, tow hitch, basic tools, food/water, aux lights on the X... I don't have on board air or any air down tool. No tow straps, tree savers, or D rings. I don't have an FRS radio. Are there any items that you would say I MUST have before I hit the trail?

Brad, for these particular trails, you don't need anything crazy, however, you should always have a good tow strap and recovery point(s) somewhere on the truck. If you have the tow hitch, I suggest investing in one of these: D-Ring Receiver Hitch. There are other brands, but they all do the same thing. They're quick and easy to put in and take out when not in use.

Ok, thanks for the info. I'll try to get some straps and a D ring before the run but I may have to rely on the other rigs there if I can't scrape it together in time.

Also, is this a 2WD, 4HI or 4LO run?

Hmm awesome, buuut would it be possible to get a shirt w a first gen on it instead? Im afraid the one w the second gen just wont fit as good. :guns:

Seriously though, whats the chances of us getting our sweatshirts by this run?

No problem, I'm sure there will be several other trucks with extra recovery equipment to share.

There might be one or two spots you'll need 4LO, but for the most part 4HI should be fine.

I've been hounding the people here at work to finish these. There have been some other big client jobs that have come in, so our stuff gets pushed to the bottom of the list. I can tell you that they've already been started. I will do my best to have them done for April 6.

I've done Freetown in mostly 2wd. Nothing crazy! Will be my 1st time in Taunton!!
