What: NEXterra April Fools Run 2025

When:Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th 2025.

Meeting Time: 0900 (9am)

Meeting & Wheeling Location: Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA) 453 4100 PA-125, Coal Township, PA 17866 (click HERE for directions).

Cost: Pay AOAA $40 one day pass, $60 two day pass. Cash or credit is accepted at the trailhead office upon registration, there is also now an option to pay online.

Waivers:
All attendees (drivers & passengers) must complete the following waivers before coming to the trailhead.
AOAA online waiver; https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/6061ca94932a7/web/ (don’t forget your tow vehicle type, make and license number!). The AOAA "Smartwaiver" is submitted electronically, no need to print anything out.
NEXterra waiver; http://www.nexterra.org/documents/NEXTerra%20Waiver.pdf needs to be printed, filled out and handed to a NEXTerra rep the first morning you attend.

Details:

Our plan is to wheel a full day Saturday and a half day Sunday. Feel free to wheel the whole day Sunday if you’d like.

There will be no shirts or stickers. Just show up and wheel!

Please print and fill out; The North East Xterra Club Waiver and Release of Liability; http://www.nexterra.org/documents/NEXTerra%20Waiver.pdf
Complete the AOAA online waiver; HERE (don’t forget your tow vehicle type, make and license number!)
Please pack a lunch, snacks, water, etc.
Sometimes there is a food truck on site. Your best bet is to check with AOAA to see of it will be there that weekend.

AOAA office opens at 0900. John (Murphy) and Joe (Jdicenso), are the NEXterra contacts for this event, plan to be in the parking lot at AOAA by 0830. AOAA closes at 6:00pm everyone will need to be off the trails and in the parking lot by then.

Find John (Murphy) and/or Joe (Jdicenso), introduce yourself, hand them your filled out NEXterra waiver.

A Drivers Meeting @ 0930-1000 then hit the trails!

Will there be a signup page for this or should we just voice our intention to join via the forum?

Also, can people without Nissans and who are not members of NEXterra come? My friend just bought a Tacoma and wants to get into off roading but I don't want to extend the invite if it's not cool

Only ECXC is restricted to Xterras, all other runs are open to all makes. As long as your friend signs a Nexterra waiver, I think it’s good.

Booked my stay at the Comfort Inn, Pine Grove. A couple of others are staying there as well.

Thanks for the clarification. That is what I thought but I wanted to double check before bringing a non-Xterra person along.

I’ll be at the Hampton Inn Friday night, heading back home after wheeling Sat. Looking forward to it.

Thanks everybody who came for their patience as I slowed the group down. The trails were a little gnarlier than I am used to but I had a good time and feel like I learned a lot. Suresh even got some use out of his winch

I've still got to try to bend my front bumper plate back to a flatter shape. That one picture must have been from earlier in the day because it is only a little bit bent there
