The club that hosted us at Schutes and Ladders is run like a combination between a corporation and a motorcycle club. It’s something like $500 a year. For the first year you get to hang out with the club and volunteer. If you put enough time and effort into the club the first year, you get to wheel the following year. But you still need to volunteer. If you don’t hold your own, you could be out at any time. They have fundraisers and a swag store. He said they bring in something crazy each year. I can’t remember the actual number, but it was tens of thousands of dollars.

As a group of enthusiasts, our requirements are far lower. Even as a not-for-profit club with a staff of volunteers, there are still expenses involved in running the club. Much of the Supporting Member fees go toward dues that we pay to the NEA4WD to be a part of their ‘club of clubs’, and to have access to the properties they have arrangements with. Besides that, the $10 extra that the club charges to casual attendees is a push to those that regularly attend runs to step up and become a Supporting Member. Seeing what goes on behind the scenes at Nexterra and the NEA4WD, I feel that $25 is well worth it. Besides, with the possibility of a run a month, it definitely pays for itself.

If you attend all 4 NEA4WD club meetings, your membership would be free.

Can't wait to show off some of the recent upgrades. Since B2SR I've added a firestik and CB, a HF front bumper (tube) and rad skid, and inside I had just about everything in the A/V system rewired including adding a new double din touch screen. I'm broke AF but I love my X.

I’m jealous of the Hefty tube bumper. It’s my favorite of all of the aftermarket bumpers.

Will you guys still let me come if I bring a 4Runner instead of my Frontier? I know the frontier was questionable but atleast it was a Nissan!

I am hoping to make it unless something comes up with my daughter.

Well, if you had a Jeep you’d have been welcome!! :-)

All kidding aside, only ECXC is limited to Xterras with a few exceptions. All our other club events are open to all 4wd rigs.

Dirty Socks, I figured I was good coming with a toyota since you let me attend for 8 years with a frontier and you still let Ernie attend. Is he also the exception at ECXC? Still have the Frontier just want to stretch the legs on the 4Runner.
