"Unique" Yellow X spotted in Whitesboro

I've been seeing this X around town for quite a while and today I snuck a pic of it:

There is no roof rack and it has "OFF ROAD 4x4" decals on it,I would have gotten a few more pics,but the owner was coming out of the store and I didn't want her to see me taking pics of her X.

wierd... I dont know if I like that. I can see some functionability to it, but... still.

the black paint under the rear window makes it look strange as well.

there is a "roofrack-less" Xterra around here as well, I see it every once in awhile. It looks pretty strange. The only thing I would like about it, is that it would fit in my garage again

I was wondering if maybe the roof rack was an option when the XTerra was first introduced or if it was only available on either the XE or SE.I think it looks kind of silly without the the roof rack.There is another yellow one around here just like it as well with out the Offroad graphics.This one looks like an oversized Matchbox car :wink:

Jason (Muzikman) only took his off to have a fabricator take measurements on it.......something about a possible gobi rack.
