I finally have done it. My first new sled since 1971...all my others I have bought used.

I do not have it home yet, but it's a new, leftover 2012 MXZ X 800 eTec with:

Electric temperature & fuel gauge
rMotion rear suspension
KYB Pro 36 aluminum piggyback rear shock with Easy-Adjust compression adjusters
HPG Plus R aluminum front shocks with no-tool rebound adjuster
REV-XP X narrow seat with 5 L / 1.3 US gal of storage
Brembo racing brake with braided stainless-steel brake line
Lightweight chromoly front suspension lower A-arm
Electric start
130 mm / 5.1-inch riser block
Optional Quick Adjust system
Warm glove box with 4 L/1 US gal of storage
163.9 hp engine
Dual air intakes
28.5 cm / 12-inch windshield with integrated side wind deflectors

I hope there's snow!

I don't know much about them, but I'm impressed! Did you end up trading in one of your other ones?

Nope! I've put so much into modifying my 2006 with all the lights, new clutch, rebuilt top end, etc., that I will keep that. The thing runs great! It's around 117hp and plenty fast. I'm a little concerned of what a 164HP sled that is 40lbs lighter will be like.

Keeping the 2001 for friends who want to try snowmobiling, at least for now.

I got all three sleds ready. Everything is done, except I have yet to receive my insurance cards and the validation sticker from NYS.

On the new sled, I studded the track, installed longer carbides and put the stock ones to the outside of the ski, installed my GPS; removed the stupid warning stickers, added a couple of stickers and waxed the sled and put 303 on all the other plastic.

Nice, Scott! I didn't realize you guys had snow already! It looks like you want to jump that thing! You should launch it over Zach's bike ramp!!
