First ride of the season up in the Adirondacks. The trails were marginal to decent due to the light, fluffy snow with no base. Still, I got around 100 miles on the trails. A great first weekend of riding.

View from my room right on the trail.

Looks like a good start to your season Scott.
we are still waiting for the fluffy stuff.
It's been 20 damn deg. for a week
then it warms up today to 49 deg. and all I got is rain here in R.I. :(

We're getting rain here too. It's still white, but about 45 degrees.

They're calling for lake-effect snow through Wednesday. Hoping for a big dump!!!

We got a nice surprise today. They were calling for 1" to 3" in Oneonta today. When I left for work at 7am it was snowing like crazy...and it didn't end until 3pm I have about 10" in my driveway.

A thin band of snow from lake Ontario, through Syracuse, and right through Oneonta dumped a good amount of snow.

Updated forecast for the area: ...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EST THIS EVENING...
A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EST THIS EVENING.
* LOCATIONS: SOUTHERN CAYUGA...ONONDAGA...NORTHERN CORTLAND... NORTHERN CHENANGO...SOUTHWEST OTSEGO...AND WESTERN DELAWARE COUNTIES.
* HAZARDS: LIGHT TO MODERATE LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WITH BRIEF BURSTS OF HEAVY SNOW AND WHITEOUT CONDITIONS.
* ACCUMULATIONS: SNOW TOTALS OF 5 TO 9 INCHES IN THE HEAVIEST SNOW.

There is still the possibility for a lot of snow this Friday through Saturday. Perhaps winter is here to stay!

I have to go plow now!
