I have been looking forward to this for months. The weekend is finally here and, after a lot of anticipation, there is finally snow!

http://www.snodeo.com/welcome.html

Looks like the snow should be great!

"Like giant snow guns, lake-effect snow is burying some communities to the lee of the Great Lakes through Friday as Arctic air blasts from the Plains to the Atlantic Seaboard.

Between 1 to 3 feet of snow will bury places to the lee of lakes Superior, Erie and Ontario, as well as Georgian Bay through at least Friday. It is not out of the question that the snow will pile up to 4 feet.

While you will need a yardstick to measure the snow in these areas, good luck! Strong winds topping 40 mph along the lake shores will blow the snow into mountainous drifts.

Snowfall rates may reach a several inches per hour within the most intense bands throughout the Great Lakes. Road crews will likely have trouble keeping streets and highways clear."

Looking forward to a great weekend of offroading...really offroading.

Have fun!! Should be a great weekend to be outside in the snow.

We're seeing it here in Buffalo. Took me 2 1/2 hours to get home today, only 12 miles away. The 190 and the 90 were closed for periods. 2'-3' drifts in my back yard with a fairly consistant 6" on the ground. And they are still forecasting another 2-3' down in ski country by Saturday morning.
