Was a really nice day for a change, sunny and low 50*. Not much room in the parking lot to get organized with all the snow piles and other rigs there.

There was well over a foot of snow on some of the trails and knee deep in the woods. Trail blazing was a challenge, had to keep backing up and blasting through. Lockers got a good work out.

The ice under the snow caused an even bigger challenge on the hills. We went down power line, big mistake, did the trail 11 loop and tried to go back up power line. Not happening. I broke my winch trying to get up. We backed down and tried to go up H, not much better luck there. took us 4 hours to get 2 trucks up. At this point there were 20+ trucks waiting to get up the hill. Couple guys from the park came out to try and help us out. They finally let us go out an access road off of trail 11 right before dark.

We got back to the pavilion for the raffle and got things under way. I ended up winning a hi lift base and the Quadratech 9k winch! YAY!

Nice wins Tom!

The day started with a recovery in the parking lot. Not a good sign. We had multiple recoveries throughout the day and tried to conquer one of the more technical greens near the end of the day which turned into a winch fest. It was still fun. Good people. Good times.

Looks like a fun day,a lot of snow left too. The warm temps probably made it slick.

This run was a heck of a lot of fun. Kudo's to Stephen Q. and other fellow GPAX'ers for pulling it off.

Yeah, the morning wasn't bad but by afternoon if you got out of the tracks you were pretty much stuck. It was about 8 inches of slush.
