So I decided to drive cross country and do Imogene’s Pass. Stayed in Ouray then took the pass to Telluride. To tell you it scared the sh** out of me is an understatement. It was extremely white knuckle but glad I did it. The X performed flawlessly and there was some real technical stuff going up. I had to avoid a broken down 4Runner 12,800 feet

Nice. Did that many years ago in a rental Jeep. The Ouray area is awesome. The scenery & the mountains were nothing like I’d ever experienced before. Did you do any of the others like Engineer Pass?

My buddy & I did many of the trails there but didn’t have enough experience to attempt Black Bear or Poughkeepsie gulch. If I do go back now, those will be on the list.

I did not. Short on time. But black Bear Pass looks pretty daunting. Maybe next time I come out here I will attempt it.

Glad you had a great time. Those mountains are no joke & from the videos I’ve seen of Black Bear, it’s a real take two changes of underwear kinda trail.
