Looking for decent camping within a 4hr drive from Philly......open fires allowed....alcohol allowed (just wine and beers for 4 ppl...not a massive party).....anyone? if anyone knows of anything in virginia along the adirondack (sp??) trail....anything?

I don't have any actual camping experience in that area but, I found this.

If you try the Catskills, your about four hours from Philly. Lots of nice campgrounds both state and private, but the state ones tend to be nicer. Unlike PA, NY allows alcohol in state campgrounds.

What's that start park we went to for the winery tour. I thought that place was night, plus the wineries are right up the street, the lake, and the water falls.
