Two weeks ago today I ordered some stuff from AC. A Skid Row rear bumper, a TJM front bumper, stainless steel brake lines, and a couple of other things. They were quite happy to charge my card the day I placed the order - and then took
FOUR BUSINESS DAYS to pull the items and ship them!! . Supposedly all the parts were sitting on their shelf when I ordered them. That's not all...
A week had gone by when I got my first call from them....The TJM front bumper had been sitting in a warehouse in California for some strange reason (This seems odd to me since AC is located in FLORIDA.)
Apparently there was some confusion with the part number of the bumper, so they decided to ship it to themselves to verify that it would be correct....This in itself seemed like a pretty good idea, as the bumper has to ship via truck freight and would be a huge PITA to return. Not to mention the added time.
So I recieved my rear bumper, and it was bent in four places. Both mounting flanges, and both sides of the top plate. The packing material looked fine - so I called them. Of course they are SURE it happened in transit, so they are going to try to get UPS involved - we'll see where that goes....
So here I am, two weeks later....They have
NO IDEA where my TJM bumper is - It's somewhere between CA and FLA. I'm not happy, at all. What do you mean you have no idea??
I was considering finishing off my lift and a few other goodies but I think I'm gonna just find another vendor, or try to have the stuff made locally. Maybe I'll be the guinea pig & see if Calmini has gotten any better than other folks' past experiences. I just can't see any reason why I should give AC any more of my money. This is BS!!
