[*]I needed new skins so I went larger. Now sporting LT265/75R16 General Grabber AT2s all around. It was a nice fit!

Very nice, I've been running 32's for almost 7 years and they are a great size to run.

I don't go mod mad but I'll try to post a few pics in this thread. I hope it will evolve over time. I started with a brand new 2004 XE with what was known at the time as the World Championship package. Many don't know what this is so I included some gathered information about what that is. ;)

Xterra World Championship Package
INCLUDES: Backpack, Nissan Xterra Triathlon; Power Package; Utility Package
Power Package
INCLUDES: Cruise/Speed Control; Entry System, Keyless Remote; Light, Map/Reading; Locks, Power Door; Windows, Power; Mirrors, Dual Power; Vehicle Security System; Window, Driver Side Express Down
REQUIRES: Utility Package
Utility Package
INCLUDES: Steering Wheel, Tilt; Running Boards, Tubular; Cargo Cover; First Aid Kit; Wipers, Variable Intermittent Front; Power Outlet(s), Rear

Anywho; I removed the mud flaps and the running boards and put on a set of LT265/75R16 (32"ers I guess) Previously I had installed the Nismo Cold Air Intake, Nismo Cat Back Exhaust and the Nismo by Bilstein Off Road Shocks. I also replaced the OEM sound with a Kenwood double din and Alpine speakers. I have gone into LED bulbs and have done the interior and plate lights, the front parking lights I made amber. So after all that it's stock. I love this X and I plan on driving it until she will not carry me around anymore. Right now I have 82,800 miles on it. Class VI roads have become a passion.

Now for a couple pics:

It's been raining a lot and a little sun helps. :)

Nice! Did this package also have the mudsplash decals on the sides? I ask because Romeo has that package, too, I believe.

33s... Nice. I just don't have the guts and funds to get a lift. ;) I figure if I take it easy I'll gain benefit of the 32s with little trouble. I have to ask about rear sway bar removal pros and cons eventually as it has been in my mind and it is something I think I can do.

Nice truck!

Yeah I'm not sure I've seen a few with the splash on it and some without... I didn't buy mine new so I'm not sure the option...

No mudsplash decals.
Took this one a short time ago, this afternoon. It now has a very special decal too.

The rear sway bar has had several documented issues. Some are related to off road use, and some are instances where the Xterra owner has said they never used the vehicle for "off roading".
It limits your wheel travel (aka - flex).
It might not be an issue with the shocks you have - but Bilstein recommends that you remove it if you are installing the 4600 series or HD shocks. Apparently there are clearance issues with the sway bar when those shocks are used.
It has broken or become disconnected. There have been cases where this has caused an accident.

While your getting adventurous and getting into doing things to your Xterra...

If you were so inclined - 4X4parts.com sells extended length shackles for the rear springs. They're beefy and add about 1.5"-2" of lift - and not much money. If you then (evenly and with the front wheels off the ground) crank up your torsion bar adjusters - you can get about the same amount of lift in the front. This is what is known in the Xterra forum world as a "PML" - Poor Man's Lift 8)
I just checked - lift shackles are $64.95...
I would say your shocks would be fine for this, but someone may disagree.

So for a little time, and about $70, you could have a lifted Xterra to go along with your bigger tires!

Just spray the adjustment nuts & bolts on your torsion bar adjusters once a day or so for at least a few days. It wouldn't hurt to spray your stock shackles while you were at it.

I have been working a lot of hours, but if you think you need help, or you don't feel comfortable doing it - work is starting to slow down a bit for me. We could schedule a day and I will give you a hand
