Yea, there's a 2" budget boost/spacer lift going in to fix the rubbing issue.

Jus/718 - you guys are running the Wrangler MTR Kevlar's right? What tire pressure are you guys running on the street?

I run mine at 35-38 on the street, 15 at Rausch and 10 in the sand.

Thanks Tom. That's close to what I currently run on the street ~37..... but on the Jeep forums most guys seem to run much lower.

Offroad I did notice that the 20psi that I used to air down to, didn't seem to create much tire flex. 15psi was definetly better at MaBell.

The reason most truck manufactures use IFS instead of a solid axle is to appease the average driver with a softer ride. Most Jeep guys run a lower pressure to soften the ride. The bouncy ride the combination of a solid axle, stiff suspension, a short wheel base and the stiff sidewalls of fully inflated 35’s tend to produce is not fun. The draw back is that the tires will wear faster with the lower pressure on the street especially when the tires are not made to run on the street. Big lugs don’t grab the road as well and slip/wear more than street tires.

The combination of this and Mike hard driving habits is why he runs through tires so quickly.
...and why he doesn't need to air down to drive on the beach.

Kind of funny that the most active thread on this Xterra club board is about a Jeep….
