Quick update - found out last week that both my front axle seals were leaking. Also found out they may be covered under warranty.

Dropped the jeep off at the dealer this morning & was told that since I have an aftermarket lift, they would have to investigate if the seals are still covered!! Called bullshit on it & said I would contest any non-coverage because the Jeep was actually used to wheel.

Just got a call from the dealer saying, they're good & the seals will be replaced under warranty! Will confirm once I actually pick up the Jeep.

You can’t fault them for trying. I know dealers in general make big $$$ because they initially deny warranty coverage. Some people just don’t like confrontation.

Nice job not rolling over.

I thought the dealer makes money off of warranty work, getting paid by the manufacturer or the warranty company...

Glad to hear Suresh !!

and yes Tom dealers do get paid for warranty work
but is at a reduced rate and reduced labor time.
than customer pay labor.
also the factory can refuse to pay the repair to the dealer if questionable.
so if dealer gets 125 an hr. warr. just pays 80.00
war. time is 2.5 hrs and customer pay time is 3.5 hrs.

so if the dealer can get you to pay for it they make more $$ in house.
