Last weekend and during the week i did some painting and getting rid of rust on the rear bumper and tire carrier, and sliders. I used POR-15 which if you dont know what it is, POR-15 chemically bonds to rust and prevents rust from spreading. It is really expensive but works great. I have used it before with great results.

I had also painted the rear quater panels where the plastic bumpers used to be. Since i cant connect them anymore because they are distroyed i painted the panels to give it more protection. Here are some pictures.

My sliders are rusty looking & could do with a fresh coat of paint. Would just scraping the old paint off be enough in terms of prep before using POR15?

Yup. I used a angle grinder with wire wheel for getting off all the loose rust which worked really well. Ill let you borrow it if you want.

I installed some hood louvers from Run Cool today. It took about 3 hours for the whole install and prep work. Hopefully this will help my overheating issue while offroading at ECXC...

They worked great! And when filling up my tires with the powertank my regulator froze up, so I took it off and put it on the hood lovers then in a matter of a few min it was defrosted again...

Did you have to re-gear to run the 35s? Or did the Lokka diff accommodate for that? I'm asking because I'm installing my 2" body lift this weekend and ordering my 3" suspension lift from 4x4 parts on Friday...so my plan is to run 33s. I'm all stock geared with no diff swap...yet! Will I have a problem? Love the 1.5 gens buddy, nobody around here has a built one so that's why I'm keeping it and dumping all my money into it.
