This is the CB I have - Cobra 75 WX ST. It's a good all-in-one. Surf around, though, because I'm sure you can find it cheaper.

Ebay has some listed for around $30.00 and up for new.

I have a Midland CB, bought from Amazon for ~$30. Added a Cobra magnet mount antenna to it & works like a charm (after tuning of course).

Did you hardwire it, or use the 12v cigarette adapter for power?

Which model do you have? I've seen several different styles. One that looks like a SatComm and others that have a stationary base that stays in the car.

I added a lot of these items to my "Xterra Essentials" shopping list. :D

What size extinguisher is recommended to keep in the X? obviously a household extinguisher is just way too big, and the ones in autozone seem like they can only put out a matchstick...

I have a small household extinguisher (I forget the capacity but it's about 18" tall) and a fire blanket, as well as all my (flame-resistant) welding gear. If I can't put it out, it's gonna have to burn.

I bought a small one from PepBoys or Autozone I think... About a foot tall, enough for a small fire

I figure my extinguisher is for someone else's rig, if mines on fire I may want to just get out. I hope others help me as I would help them. Together we have enough to keep each other safe.

Haha nice thread revival. I just replaced mine from a local fire specialty distributor. Managed to pick up a broad that worked there, but it was short lived. She left a hairbrush in my X, which I then used to scrub the black off my black hands after OFR before we went out for dinner. Everything happens for a reason lol
