Tim, without sliders or a hitch, there are not many options to use a high lift. I've see it done, but it is tricky because there are not many places the shoe can get under the truck to lift it. They also make a tire strap as an option, but I've never seen one in use.

High lifts are handy, yet dangerous tools. I've seen them slip more than once.:(

well i have a hitch for the rear, and hope to get the sliders in the near future, so that should set me straight, i was looking at that tire strap set up, looked cool!

Just a little note about the hi-lift mounts. Not only are most sf them a pain to get off as Scott mentioned, but probably when you need it most, all the little components that operate it will rust up and leave you stuck. I have seen a few of them that look like crap from being outside.. someone I know has rebuilt theirs three times (they do sell kits to do this at least) b/c of rust.

I have had one for a couple years, it lays on the floor behind my rear seats. It is small enough that I can just pack stuff on top of it and really don't miss the space at all.
