If you are new to the whole Xterra off roading world, then this guide to commonly used terms and abbrivations might be helpful.

Bull/winch bar

tree saver strap- Should know what this is if you ever winched without a truck in front. Wrap this around a tree and using a winch shackle or regular towing shackle to prevent tree damage.

Winch shackle- A pulley to double your winch's capacity or winching at angles when a direct pull isn't possible. Usually used with a tree saver.

Winch blanket- absorbs the energy of a winch cable should it break under load.

FUBAR

RTFM

STFU

Clevis D-shackle; provides a means for connecting the looped ends of cables, straps and blocks.
Snatch Block; A pulley to double your winch's capacity or winching at angles etc.

WOW! These terms actually are helpful in reading the forums better. Haven't seen any explanations on the other Xterra Forums so I'm glad someone did it.
