If you are new to the whole Xterra off roading world, then this guide to commonly used terms and abbrivations might be helpful.

AAL- Add A Leaf
BL - Body Lift
IFS = Independent Front Suspension
LCA- Lower Control Arm
MAF- Mass Air Flow (sensor)
NISMO - Nissan Motosports

[b]PML[/b] - Poor Man's Lift (1.5" lift with a T-Bar crank and using shackles or AAL in the rear)

SAS = solid axel swap
SL = Suspension lift

[b]Sliders[/b] - A replacement to the OEM step rails on the Xterra. They are stronger and used to keep rocks from doing any damage to your rockers.It's made to slide the rock from wheel to wheel.

[b]Skids[/b] - Skid plates. Steel plates mounted underneath the vehicle to protect parts from rock, stump or other damage.

SYE- Slip Yoke Eliminator
T-Bar- Torsion Bar
TPS- Throttle Position Sensor
TRE- Tie Rod End
TSB- Technical Service Bulletin
UCA- Upper Control Arm
BFH = Big F'n Hammer
TRA = Tie Rod Adjuster - use to adjust tie rods when dealing with the toe of your wheel.

Bull/winch bar

tree saver strap- Should know what this is if you ever winched without a truck in front. Wrap this around a tree and using a winch shackle or regular towing shackle to prevent tree damage.

Winch shackle- A pulley to double your winch's capacity or winching at angles when a direct pull isn't possible. Usually used with a tree saver.

Winch blanket- absorbs the energy of a winch cable should it break under load.

Clevis D-shackle; provides a means for connecting the looped ends of cables, straps and blocks.
Snatch Block; A pulley to double your winch's capacity or winching at angles etc.

WOW! These terms actually are helpful in reading the forums better. Haven't seen any explanations on the other Xterra Forums so I'm glad someone did it.
