For all of you with an aftermarket spare tire carrier, do you have a bike rack that works with it? Or fits around it? What model do you have? How many bikes do you carry on it?

Hi mike.
I have one but use a hitch extender to clear the tire, Yakima 4 bike. So far works great. I can send a pic tomorrow.

Tony, thanks for the info. A pic of that setup would be great!

Which hitch extender did you get for the rack?

I'd have to double check, but I think draw tite. Its rated for 5k, 500lb tongue weight so strong. Here's a pic., rack is solid.Image

It's an older hefty..and the rack isn't as far from the tire as it looks in the pic..only way I found to mount it unless you remove the tire every time

Yeah, the local bike shop had one of those by Thule. I'm thinking about it. I could put my bike and my wife's bike on it, and the kids smaller bikes in the truck.

But at some point, I'd need that bigger 4-bike rack like Tony has.
