Somewhat brings back what I grew up knowing baseball as, a family sporting event, that doesn't cost an arm & leg for a seat. I had a neighbor who would take the entire birthday party to a Yankees game but with how much things cost now a days I'm sure it would be like $1K just for the tickets.

Thankfully, I'm listening to the game on my XM radio - no commentary from the ESPN TV "anal"ysts.

It got even worse when they brought Phillips in, he and Morgan just argue the whole time. ESPN is all basketball and football, I gave up on them. I just watch the MLB and the NHL network now.

On a different aspect; I usually don?t go to Yankee Stadium on the weekends because I don?t care for the usual weekend fan. I am personally appalled when these idiots start doing the wave. You?ve spent all that money, made the effort to attend a game and you?re not even watching it. WTF. Stay the f@ck home and do that bullshit.

Last night I could not believe that during one of Youks at bats, I saw the Red Sox fans doing the wave. It seems to me that now that the Sox?s are successful they are attracting the same kind of bullshit fan the Yankees have in the past. It?s Kevin Youkilis for Pete?s sake, I?m a Yankee fan, at home watching on TV and I?m trying to see where he's standing in the batters box. You?re at Fenway! Watch the fucking game!

I like going to Fenway but it was definitely more fun before 2004, as far as what kind of "neighbors" you're going to have. Nothing beats seeing a little kid going to his first game, an old man doing the book, the drunk guy that actually has a brain and says some funny stuff and the drunk guy that is a total moron that slurs out random ignorant crap and swears. Now, everyone is talking on their cell phone, standing by a table eating wherethere is no view of the game. You went there to see a baseball game! Enjoy it or just stay home where you can get instant replay, a front row seat, cheaper beer and you can use your home phone! What is even worse is going to minor league games, the cheesy music between every pitch? Wow, very annoying.

Yeah. They can see a future Hall of Fame player and instead they are on the phone, eating with their back to the game. Drives me crazy.
