That's stupid! sorry,but NO ATHLETE is worth that kind of money,I don't care how good he/she is how old/young they're all waaaaaaaaaay over paid.Here's a question:What would happen if teams only got paid if they actually win a game? would they still get their millions if they weren't winning?

I?m not overjoyed that this is how desperate the Yankees are or that they?ve had 10 different starters this early in the season (a record) but when you can draw over 50,000 idiot fans to every game you play 28 million really doesn?t mean that much. The price for my ticket per game in my 8 game plan is $95 each. Only 2 teams I?d pay that kind of money to see and they are the ones with some of the highest payroll (Yankees at the Stadium, Red Sox at Fenway).

I agree the Yankees money could be better spent but will Roger help put fans in the seats? I never cared for him but the answer is, most likely, yes. What would you have spent the 28 on if you where in charge?

But it?s more than a game these days it?s a show, an event. How much is a movie star worth? A rock star? A Rapper? Shit, I?d rather watch old man Roger for 6 or 7 innings than 50 cent for 6 or 7 seconds. Ya feelin? me my brother?

I cannot fault the guy for taking that kind of money. plus he has the family clause in the contract, which allows him to travel back and forth to Texas and not attend away games if he is not pitching.
