The Smittybilt aluminum hawse fairlead that I have installed on the Jeep since August of 2014 is now all pitted & rusted. Hadn't paid any attention to it till this Sunday when washing the Jeep....the hawse is crap & puts my winch line at risk. I've read many negative reviews in Smittybilt products, now I know why. Will avoid Smittybilt stuff from now on!!! Have to buy & install a new fairlead before B2SR (I have a feeling the winch will be in use there). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Like I always say. If you want an honest review of a Smittybilt product, just replace the M with an H. (That said, I have also taken a chance on the same fairlead...at least I don't have a winch to risk yet.) ((That also said, we live in the salt belt, so I have no expectation of longevity for aluminum parts)) |

I have a brand new roller fairlead sitting downstairs. Came with my TNX group buy ENGO winch, which I upgraded to synthetic line and smooth fairlead on day one. You need, it's yours. Call me during the day if you want to set up a meet. Continued by edit - I pulled it out and after 3 years of being ignored it doesn't look new. There are blemishes in the zinc coating. Nothing that will hurt cable but could be rust initiation locations. It is a cheap, probably China, import but worth a lot more than I'm asking Scott |

Thanks for the offer Scott. I'm running sync line, so looking to order a new hawse fairlead this week. Will reach out to you if that falls through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Suresh, Sounds good to me, I think synthetic line is the way better way to go. Anyone need a new steel winch cable & Roller fairlead? Scott |
