Now I have to get a bike too? Which comes first, modding the X or a bike...tough call...

I went for the new bike last year. No modding of the X for a while. No regrets, either.

I'm thinking that might be what I do...I love my X and have a fun with it just as it is...a guy I work with has a 2004 FatBoy, same color as my X, 5,000 miles and he's offering it for $8k...not sure I'm going to be able to pass that up

I looked at it this way:

With the Xterra, I used go wheeling maybe 5 or 6 times a year. Sometimes it was a one day trip, sometimes two, and then ECXC which was 4 days.

With the bike - I can ride it every weeked (weather permitting). I also take it for longer tours (one to two weeks) a couple of times a year, and to several long weekend rallys each year.

While I can and do use both to get to work, I find I get much more recreational use out of the bike.

K_enn, I agree...I've had to sit X runs out because I had the kids, or other engagements...I can take the bike out for a 20 minute ride any time...or take it to work, etc...

We can do this like the Back to School Run. Camping in my yard. If you can't pack all of your gear, I have a few extra tents. One huge one. All you will need is a sleeping bag and a pillow.

This is my first year on a bike and I put on over 5k this summer.

Oh she has hair! She just blew her puppy coat and now the temps are making her look like she is molting. I want to get her a brother but she is still in obedience training so I don't want to stress myself ha I want to bring her on runs but she isn't too happy with other animals and people are scared of her bc she is an akita but maybe one day you can meet her. She is super super sweet! Maya after the lead dog from the movie eight below

I am up for meeting around Phoenecia, NY, or Woodstock, NY. That may be a bit far for Beckywoo. Middletown, NY, could work for her, but that may be a bit of a ride for Scott.

Just give me several weeks advance notice, and I should be able to clear most Saturdays or Sundays.

I could do that as I am often in Lakeville, Connecticut these days. Makes it closer for Tommy too.
