Me too. Every piece of riding I have was bought for its functionality.

Thanks for all the adive guys. I'll be heading to a local gear shop to check the helmets in person. Will also check out Revzilla for the others.

I have to wear formal pants & long sleeves to work, no jacket or tie thankfully.

So, in all but the hottest or coldest riding weather, you can probably get away with mesh overpants and a mesh jacket. (P.S. look for a mesh jacket with a non-mesh removable liner, and it will give you a wider range of temperature usage).

As you can see, it is all functional protective equipment.

That was my old helmet, which was retired at the end of that year because interior padding was getting weak and loose. Still use the same boots, same jacket, same jeans, same gloves, and same motorcycle.

 Ha, back in my S.Q.U.I.D. days I had a full racing leather suit, racing boots, gloves. All blue and white and a red/white/blue Kevin Schwantz helmet.
On my Honda 1000 I was a screaming red/white/blue blur...

Oh yeah, I wanted to look fast waitin' on a light. My partner and I would call a weekend ride "going crashing" because someone that would come along would often wipe out. One of my t-shirts said "life begins at 120mph"! Living S.Q.U.I.D.; super quick until I die. It's a miracle I survived.

Glad you did. One day we will enjoy an adult beverage and toast longevity.

I went to see a motorbike this evening... an older couple were selling it because the 'husband had too many toys'!! It looked good, sounded good & the price was good too.

The problem is that they apparently have a loan on the bike. They want the buyer to pay them the full amount for the bike at which time they will give a bill of sale... and then pay their bank off & get the title released. The bank had said it would take about a week.

Would the bill of sale be enough to prove my ownership in case something goes wrong with getting the title released? (ie. they take the money & never pay the loan off).

They seemed like a nice couple but you never know these days. I'm guessing someone here would have faced a similar situation & figured I'd get some advice.

Thanks,
Suresh

Personally I wouldn't deal
With the hassle.

Of they know the money is coming, they can pay up the $x.xx and when they have title in hand you pay cash.

Only time I ever felt with paying off the loan, was when I went to the bank with my buddy and paid his loan for the first gen and got a title that minute.

I agree. I wouldn't do it.
