So, I'm hoping that I might have a little bit of money during the winter to save up for new saddlebags. My current ones have holes, hard to close, and some stitching is pulling out. So, I have three main options that I'm looking at.

Option A:

Option B:

Option C:

A is hard bags that lock and have reflectors already built in for brake and/or turn signals. B are soft bags but have more space. C are hard bags with no reflectors, smaller then B, but also cheaper.

I never cared for the ?Bagger? look and so have a set of leather bags that I remove unless I really need them. I like the bike stripped down to the bare minimum unless I have to carry something. I voted for the soft bags for that reason.

I voted for B due to agreeing with Tom.. But if you plan on using them daily then I'd go with A..

Yeah, these will probably be mounted all the time. I'm used to it with the way my bike is currently setup, so I think I'll stay that way.

Thanks for the input guys.

Always a fan of the soft leather bags.

I like hard bags, preferably with a removable mounting. Even if you can't use a removable mounting, I think the hard bags secure your stuff better (i.e., lock more securely) for when you are away from the bike. And, after having ridden a number of times in poor visibility conditions (e.g., fog, heavy rain, etc), I would favor the bags with reflectors on the grounds that more visibility is better. YMMV.
