Well, one of the things that I've been running into the most is that my feet are killing me after a short ride. The stock foot pegs were just not enough and my ankles always seem to want to roll.

I decided to take the plunge and ordered some floorboards off of e-bay from Hong Kong. It was less then half the price for a normal set, and this was rider and passenger. Amazingly enough, 8 days after payment they were on my doorstep.

Here are some pics:

I haven't installed the passenger ones yet because I don't ride with anyone, and think they might be a little bit bulky.

The one thing I currently notice is more vibration since there isn't a lot of padding, but that's easier to change then the whole floorboard.

Put about 70 miles on the bike today and they are great.

I had my real boots on, and those soles are thicker so the vibrations were much lower then when I took it out for a test ride with my sneakers on.

My ankles is where I feel the biggest change.

I don't have a motorcycle...another hobby I don't need to get involved in, but they do look a lot more comfortable.

Man they look big. Do they stick out a bit more than the pegs?

Back in the day I rode sport bikes (even took a road racing course) and enjoyed dragging the pegs, my knee and/or the exhaust pipes sometimes while taking a turns at high speed. But the first time I touched the floorboards on the FatBoy down I almost shit myself. I was thinking of replacing them with some forward mounted pegs.

Maybe I just need to slow down a bit.

They don't really fold-up the same way the stock pegs do, so there is a little more of chance for them to drag.

Width wise they aren't really all that larger, but the extra length does make it a little harder. I haven't scraped them yet though.
