Nice ride ( for a Harley :) ). Get out there and break it in.

Now there is even more reason to do a Nexterra ride.

Yeah, got to try and get out more. The FatBoy was a great highway bike but was just too big to get out of the city on and kinda held me back on any twisties. The Roadster is a bit smaller and not as comfy but handles better. I’m going to try a get out on Sunday morning if the weather is nice.

Nice lid. Bell has been around for ages - they must still be making good stuff. I like the flat black look of that one. Good price. Personally, I prefer the modular (flip-face) style of helmet. I did not know that Bell makes them.

Saw some nice helmets at the BMW national rally. There was even one (Revue) that had a built in rear view mirror that shows what is directly behind you.

BTW, do you use ear plugs? I just got a custom fit set and they do help reduce noise and fatigue.

Ear plugs? I gotta be honest and say I've never given that any thought. I can't imagine wearing them while riding.
I kinda listen to what's going on with the bike and my surroundings. When shifting I seldom look at my tach (FatBoy didn't have a tach) or speedo any more, listening to the engine for my queue instead.
You ride more than I and take longer trips so now that you brought it to my attention I can understand the benefit.
I know guys that have music and communications in their helmets but I fear I'd be distracted.

For me, ear plugs do not eliminate all surrounding sounds. (I don't listen to music through ear buds because that would cut out too much of the surrounding sounds). I can still hear traffic, and the engine. It does reduce (not eliminate entirely) louder sounds such as wind noise and loud exhausts. :) I did notice less fatigue at the end of the day when I started using them. Having done a lot of shooting and riding over may years, I am trying to preserve my hearing more than ever. (My wife always complains that I never hear her. )
