New Jersey has its own great motorcycle runs. On the third Wednesday of June, there is Gooch's Garlic Run, from Morris County NJ to Little Italy in NYC. They get between 1,500 and 4,000 motorcyles (depending on the weather) and shut down Interstate 80 for about an hour. They also have their prepaid lane through the Holland Tunnel, and shut down Canal Street.

On Sept. 14 this year, there is the Elvis Run, which goes from Morris County to Newark, ending with a bike show, picnic, beer blast, etc. That usually gets 1,000 to 2,000 motorcycles.

Both events are charatable fund-raisers, and police "escorted." If anyone is interested in doing those runs, let me know because I usually do them.

Jeff, if you think you're going to make it up let me know. I've been debating this ride, but it's early in the morning for me.

I'd probably go to Yankee Harley and ride from there.

I really wanted to go, but doesn't look like I will be able to swing gas and the registration fee.
