On any nice Sunday morning hundreds motorcycles and their riders start their day at Marcus Dairy located off exit 3 on Route 84, a few miles from the Connecticut / New York border.

We could meet at 9 or 10 am at the Dairy and jump off from there to any place you guys like,Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, Port Jervis, maybe somewhere to meet folks from the North/West NY for lunch. After lunch I'd head back to the NYC area in the daylight (no night riding from this old boy). Nice weather only, no rain date.
I know Jeff will be there, any one else? What da ya say?

well... now that sounds like something that I'd want to do - and I am pretty sure that I have no plans that weekend.

It is looking like I will be available that day. So for now, count me in.

If you guys just want to ride around, that is fine. But if you want to spend an hour or two at an attraction, I threw out the idea of Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. It is a aviation history attraction, with operating bi-planes and and air show. http://www.oldrhinebeck.org/ Other ideas would be to take a ride through the Catskills, go to Woodstock, or take a tour of the Brotherhood winery or any of the other Hudson Valley wineries.

Well, I think that I should have everything set and all my gear in place by then. As long as I get comfortable on 84 or find the back way to get there, I'm in.

Don't worry, Tom. We will have you home before you turn into a werewolf at sundown. I'm not too keen on night riding, either.

I was thinking that he'd more turn into a pumpkin, or a hand maiden, once the clock struck evening.

Getting into NYC from NJ, upstate or LI on a Sunday night sucks in a truck, on a bike you're at every retards mercy. F' that.

I should definitely be there. This morning I went from a CT permit to a full motorcycle endorsement. I then proceeded to take advantage of being allowed across the state line, and took my bike to Hawthorne, NY for a job interview which I got. :D

Well, that's a 3 hr ride for me to get there. Talk about an ass-numbing day.

I'd be up for it, tho. What time you thinking of meeting?

EDIT: woops, I just read the origional post again :roll:

Looks like you can take US 6 most of the way from Bristol to Danbury. It may be slower than I-84, but you avoid the interstate if you are not comfortable with that road.

I was going to ask what everyone wants to do but I?m thinking that never works. No one on this (or any other) board can get their shit together so I?m just going to tell you what I?m doing. This way if you want to jump in at any time you can and if you don?t show up I won?t give a crap ?cause I?ll still have a good time. This method has always worked best for me even for wheeling trips. It eliminates the chance that I?ll be pissed at your pansy ass for once again talking shit and then not showing up and of course, once again, there is the fact that when I try to get together with any of you, it?s really, in the end, all about me.

So, if it?s not raining and there is not rain in the NYC forecasts, this is my plan;

Meet at Marcus Dairy (located off exit 3 on Route 84, a few miles from the Connecticut / New York border) around 9am. Hang out; check out the bikes, BS until around 10.

Head out from there to Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome (9 Norton Rd Red Hook, NY 12571). It should take about an hour to get there from the Dairy. Meet up there with any NEXTerra folks from the north or west for lunch. We could hang out there for the air show that starts at 2pm and ends at 4pm. I would be heading south from there most likely down 9 towards the city. If a group wants to head out for more riding instead of seeing the air show you must suggest something. I might join you if it won?t take me to far north or west.

What do you think? Who?s in for what?
