Well I met Jeff, Ken, and Eric at the ?Dairy? around 9:30 (the hutch was shut down for 3 exits due to flooding). Saw a bunch of cool looking bikes and took the ?Anthony pose? pictures I promised you guys;

Sorry Anthony but we all look cooler than you. Ken then lead us up to the Old Rein back Aerodrome on some beautiful twisty back roads.
The Nexterra Cycle Club;

a few of the vintage planes there were sporting my favorate symbol;

Eric cut out before the air show but we stayed and it was kind of fun;

Eric got stuck a short way from home and needed his friend to get him with a truck. Jeff had stopped to help on his way home. Ken and I had a nice ride down 9 until we hit some traffic then Ken cut out around Bear Mountain and I kept heading south catching some NYC traffic and getting home around 6:30 very tired.

Eric, glad you got home OK, sorry the day did not end well for you.
Most of the day was alot of fun, the rest of you losers missed out.

It was a good trip. Some fun roads I had never been on before (especially the stretch of 199 from 22 towards Rhinebeck). The weather was great. The company was great.

Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is interesting. The museum section up on the hill has been improved and expanded. It looks like some of the planes they used to fly have been semi- or fully retired to the museum. The air show itself, while cheesy, is still entertaining. It was such a calm day there, they actually got a couple of the old pre-WWI monoplanes off the ground.

Eric, sorry to hear about your problem on the ride home. Let us know what the cause was when you find out for sure. Hope you are back in the saddle soon.
