I was able to get out on the kayak today for some fishing before the winds got nasty again. The bunker were jumping, and I was able to catch myself a nice 24" bluefish using a Rapala Xrap lure.

Nice, many folks don?t like Bluefish because it?s too oily, but I do and they always put up a good fight. I like to steam Bluefish or any such oily fish with a combination of prepared Chinese black beans (or prepared Chinese black bean sauce) some garlic, ginger, green onions, rice wine and roasted sesame oil rubbed in and outside the cleaned and lightly salted fish. Some white rice maybe some string beans and you?re set, delicious. :D

its definitely an aquired taste, we caught a few of them spear fishing and after awhile when i saw them in the water i wouldnt shoot, just like tautoug they loose their appeal, only so many marinades out there hah, if your lucky and find some fluke or flounder then your golden, they chill at the bottom, ive acctually caught some by stabbing it with my dive knife which preserves most of the meant, so tasty!
