1 Large Loaf Stale Bread
1 stick melted butter (NO margerine)
1 medium Onion
2 Whole Egg (medium size)
3/4 to 1 cup Whole Milk (read dierctions below first!)
1 Tablespoon Poultry Seasoning
1 Tablesoon dried Parsley
Salt & pepper to taste
If your bread isn't stale, slit the top of the plastic on the loaf right down the middle and let the bread get dry out. Fresh berad gets to "squishy" and won't absorb the ingredients evenly/properly.
1) Place stick of butter (do not use margerine, it will change the taste of the stuffing entirely)
2) Chop the onion and cook it in the butter until tender
3) Place bread slices in large bowl and Tear the bread into small pieces
4) Slowly pour about 1/2 cup of milk over the bread and mix it in until the bread is damp (you don't want it soaked!). If it still seems dry add more milk a little at a time. If bread is damp do not add more milk!
5) Pour the onion and butter over the wet bread (remember no marga
rine) and mix it in.
6) Add the whole eggs 1 at a time mixing them in to the bread mixture
7) Add the onion and butter to the bread mixture
Shake the poultry seasoning over the bread mixture abnd mix in
9) Add the parsley flakes and mix in
Spray baking dish with non stick spray. Pour the bread mixture into the baking dish and bake at 375 degrees until the stuffing is golden brown on top. It should be soft/moist inside the stuffing, but not wet! If it doesn't apper to be cooked, nake stuffing a little longer!
Once the stuffing is properly baked, enjoy it with your Turkey/Chiicken or Duck/Goose etc!
