There is a motion for you to discuss with your members, this motion has been seconded by Chuck Comeau. Normally this should run a week for discussion, so we will close this on the 6th of August at midnight, with a vote to take place immediately afterward, unless there is a quorum and the BOD decides to speed this up on Saturday at the meeting. Additionally if you are no longer a delegate, please forward it as soon as possible to the correct delegate and send me the correction. Thank you!
Motion to enter land lease with W.D. Cowls
Postby Technohead » Tue Jul 30, 2013 9:00 am
I would like to make a motion that the NEA enter into a land lease agreement with W.D. Cowls subject to the following conditions:
1.) The maximum annual lease payment shall be $5,000 paid for by usage fees to be determined at a later date. If the usage fee does not cover the lease payment then the remainder shall be paid from the land acquisition fund.
2.) The maximum annual insurance premium shall be $1,500 paid for by usage fees to be determined at a later date. If the usage fee does not cover the insurance payment then the remainder shall be paid from the land acquisition fund.
3.) The exact parcel of land shall be subject to negotiation with W.D. Cowls. The Catamount Hills property will be the primary focus but alternative parcels may arise during negotiation.
4.) The lease shall be for a minimum of two years with an option for long term extension.
5.) The lease shall grant the NEA permission to construct trails subject to applicable law and reasonable conditions imposed by W.D. Cowls (i.e. not impacting revenue bearing timber, etc).
