Trail cut @ NEA Summit Property

There is a trail cut at the NEA Summit property in north western Mass.
Near Easthampton Mass. on Sept 24th.

The plan is to open up a main trail that will feed into other future trails

This is a very new property an is still being developed

There is no fee to run this property just a will to work and wheel.

Anyone interest in attending post up or PM me and I will give you the details.

I will be attending this trail cut at the Summit Property.

I'll be bringing my chainsaw, axe, loppers, pick ,shovels and a rake.
boots, gloves, ear and eye protection...ect.

It sounds like a busy day with the cutting of one main trail and the building of two different bridges over streams.
and per the owners request,
All the lumber will be harvested from the trees on the land to build the bridges.
very cool

Seeing how this is virgin property it shoud be a very interesting day.

The Location to Gps is... 880 Chesterfield rd. Westhampton ma.
we have a 9am meeting time for the 24th.

bummer, don't think that I'll be able to swing it.

We'll see how work pans out. I just got out of traveling this weekend but I probably won't be so lucky next weekend.

Not sure if there's much I can do to help (no winch or significant enough tools for trailblazing) but it's great to hear about this trail opening up!

Ernie I live about 15 min from Easthampton, as long as I'm not working I will be there with a chainsaw, and whatever other assorted tools I have. Plastic, if need be you can ride shotgun with me and im sure I have enough tools for the two of us.

Hope you and Plastic can make it, it should be interesting.
It is pretty tough terrain and it will be slick/muddy. :mrgreen:

Members of Mass Krawlers ,Westernmass 4X4 , Underground Jeeps and Cape Cod Jeep Club will be there.

Oh Yeah , it's a 3hr tour in the SS minnow for me, one way :roll:
