I can GPS map the area just by driving/walking it, and it can be exported to google earth, takes the effort out of it ;)
I may be up for going to help

PS: Is wherever the trucks are to be parked/left safe?

And one time at band camp.....

Keep in mind when you go outside anywhere, I've already seen two ticks this year, and it was a week and a half ago!

Nothing, nothing at all but, they taught us.."If you don't have something nice to say then don't say nothing at all."

Happy Sunday everyone. :-)

I heard that from someone else too, he had like 6 on him after an hour walk in the woods. That is just crazy for this time of year.

We'll I just posted up on NEA. today.
That I wiil be meeting up with the crew for breakfast @ 7:45 and then going to the trailhead from there.
If we find a second please Pm me and let me know.
They have Alternates already and need only one person per club so we are all set as of now.
But Gene has us open for two so we have the room for another member to go.

Please keep in mind that it is over grown there and a lot of bush areas
so if you have concerns on the ticks that are out already be for warned.
It will be muddy and there are areas of twisted branches and tree cuttings.
We will all be on foot while Signing the areas est. time 2-3 hrs.

I am making a point of being there to know this area for our future runs.
and we would like to make a good presence with the NEA so
If you are seriously interested let Gene or I know (per Pm) and we will
add you in.

And yes other clubs are putting in dates for runs there already
so we can consider when we would want to go there after 5/1
this could be Posted under the trail runs / events thread.
under Gremlin Graveyard or G2.

Count me as 90% there.
I just need to make sure that the buddy of mine what was supposed to come and visit is actually going to bail on me

We'll I'm heading out @ 5:30am to meet up with the others for the G2 breakfast & Trail Signing.
I'll give everyone my feedback on the trails out there when I get back.

Well I'm back and very tired, we covered a large amount of the area
and did quite an amount of signing and clearing.
But this area is huge! and will need more work done
there are many inter winding trails and it is still easy to get turned around/lost.
there are some well traveled trails that are mostly clear
and other trails that are full of stumps and rocks as you go along
some have had no traffic in 20 years.!

There are no large obsticals available at this time but there maybe some in the future.
This would be equal to pain hill and voluntown, or a mixture of both.
Slow moving trails with stumps and rocks to watch out for to prevent tire damage. Some med. inclines and not to much off camber areas.
This property is on a trial basis with the land owner so we will be proceeding slowly to see how the deal works out before any major changes take place with the trails.
But more signing and clearing will need to be done to make the actual trails more obvious from the other side trails.

Nice work, Ernie. It sounds better than I had thought it was going to be.
