Suresh, Thanks for putting this together for us. It was a great time with lots of adrenalin and certainly a bit of pucker factor for a rock ledge virgin. Starting off at Summit, I have to admit I was really wondering what I got myself into when all the other armored up & lifted Xs went low and I was left with the 3 Rubicons by my lonesome to do the perimeter.

And I found out that before shipping a new step facade only costs $17, Before shipping. D'oh!

And as always it was super to meet some new faces and get to see some others again.

Scott

How did you do on the perimeter trail,it was fairly gnarly last year, some big humps and rocks, but fun. Really wish I could have made it.
Try a dealer for the step corner, they usually match online prices if you ask and no shipping.

Tony, The perimeter trail was a Bitch! "fairly gnarly last year, some big humps and rocks" is an understatement. When the two Rubicons with 35" tires are hanging up you know it's tough. That rear corner damage was caused by a rock, not a tree. That's a big rock. Jeff's comment when we were thru it, was that his custom exhaust loop skid (his own design) had definitely paid for itself. We were whaling on our skids and sliders through both gardens. I did like the first half with the gullies, they were fun but the two rock gardens starting with the bridge made me wish for a couple of more inches of lift and at least 35s and super low gearing. The mt didn't help.

I'm glad I did it because it gave me an appreciation of what my X can handle and what's going to take rock piling to get thru.

I'm sorry you missed the run too, I want to see your locker in action.

Scott

Its always good to experience some nasty situations and then realize just what your rig can go thorough. The area after the log bridges is tough, I think I smashed a corner too. Its trails like those that make people want to titan swap and go 35's

Low gearing is nice when trying to crawl over those boulders...specially with a stick shift.

Great pics Michelle! Too bad we didn't make it all the way up (granted I think I walked a good amount of it!)

Great time with everyone and cant wait to go again! Will post pics and video later today (would have done it yesterday, but I think I slept most of the day haha)

It was definitely the most off-camber I have ever had my vehicle.

In this picture, I think Suresh is directing me to a suitable area for checking my pants:
