This was one of my BIG concerns of having this license.

As for you cats driving an RV while I drive the Big Rig. Oh Hells NO!

I'd be your passenger in the big rig chief!

I don't know how to take this

I was planning on coming out to watch Tom run! I run my rig on the easier stuff but would look to ride shotty for some of the crazier stuff.

I'm liking how this is playing out.
If we do have enough of a group, we could look at what it would cost to transport the trucks (maybe via rail?) out there, pick them up, wheel and ship them back.

Here is my deal on my CDL

The bosses don't want to have one of our NJ Class A guys in RI to ride along with us for a few weeks in our Peterbilt. So I'll be getting a Class A with Air brake and 5th wheel restrictions.

Totally sucks as I Aced the Air brake test. I would have to take the air brake test again and the driving test as well. Oh well

So this means I am able to legally tow over 10,000lbs. The down side is that I can't drive a 5th wheel trailer which I believe a goose neck is considered one. Need to check the rules a little further

I would be up for having the Rig trailered out and Renting an RV for the road trip. Could be one heck of a Crazy road trip.

I'd have to have my truck transported and then rent a truck / trailer once out there.

But, it'd be a hell of a road trip and, with enough people in the RV, we'd probably be able to drive straight through, rotating drivers along the way.

That would be a good time.

So I need to check on this but I heard that we could also "Rent" and train car and have the Xs shipped that way.

Something like $500 a vehicle ( don't quote me on this ).

I'll be back with info once I find out the deal.
Round trip expense
Travel time to destination
Insurance

More to come

If we would be shipping the trucks I'd think a week. If we are driving I'd think two.

We can always ship ahead of time so that the trucks are waiting. Then, the drive would only be a few days.. We could wheel a few and then come back.

It's taking us 3 days to get to Moab.

2 - 13hr days to Evergreen, CO John's house
1 - 6hr day from John's to Moab

I guess we could push it a little and get there in 2 but I am not a big fan of that.
