I don't think my laptop problem had anything to do with my truck. I couldn't get it to work on my blue X when I go home. Checked out and I had my Trio Hotsync set to work on start-up (default setting) and it created a parity problem with the OB II software. I reset the default settings and it worked. I had just installed the Palm software on Thursday and had yet to run my scanner software.

Hopefully, the mechanic is correct and it is all fine. Now I have to replace my sub and speaker amps probably, tear out the carpet and clean out the truck.

Also, even though I just replaced all the fluids, I will probably do it again. Ugh!

Transmission service, $100 (dealer); diff fluids, $45 my cost for synthetic oil; oil change, $12; ATF for transfer case, $40; Mechanic and parts charges, $465 (Damn, I could have done this myself, but I am still happy it's done).

It was an expensive run!

Still, it was a great weekend.

I'm a bum!!! :D It would take me several hours to put it all back together and then I would have to take it apart again. I may have to though so I can dry out the yellow one when I get it home.

Jeff, what do you have for amps? My subwoofers are fine, I had two amps under the seat.

Thanks

Well, with my day off, I would like to install the snorkel, but I think I should clean up the Yellow X. I replace the sub amp. Took the old one apart, and the transistors were all blown apart. Although I thought I had the carpet dry, it was soaking underneath so I had to pull that up too. So, right now I have my carpets pulled up to dry, door panels off to replace the front speakers, and a lot of work ahead of me.

On the positive side I got a better, more powerfull Alpine sub amp and better amp for the speakers. Also, I got a pair of Memphis 6 1/2 speakers for the front. So, the sound should be even better.

Still, it was an expensive dunk.

Are you going to mount the amps up higher this time or just try to avoid the bigger puddles?

I thought of that, but then I would have to rewire everything. I may do it latter. It's not much below my ECU, however.

A few shots of where I am!

Scott looks like fun. You really need to get that foam dry otherwise your X will smell like a HS gym locker room.

Mike, free wheeling is always good. Except when it's 5.5 hours from me. hehe

Make sure when you go places to bring a camera.

After about three days of work, I think I am done: Inside all cleaned, with tons of work and all put back together. New amp and speakers installed, then the seat wouldn't fit over the new amp (shit) so, I took a BFH and carefully (ok, I wasn't carefull) pounded in the bottom of the seat. Worked great and it doesn't feel any different to my butt (but I don't sit there). I don't know why it hangs down that far.

Here's how she looks. Don't tell me if you find mud marks, I'll be finding them for a long time. Hell, I'm still finding Dagger Crap marks from ECXC this summer. :x
