Thanks to everyone for a GREAT event!! Special thanks to Tom for volunteering to lead the Modified Group, and to Erik for taking the lead of the "Stock" group for part of the day.

We had a total of 10 Xterras and one Rock Buggy on this run. I was really impressed with the turn-out, considering the time of year!

We also collected a total of 9 toys that will help some families-in-need this Holiday Season. So a big THANK YOU to everyone that brought toys to donate.

I hope everyone had a good time, especially the "Green" group.

Here are some pics, and the rest are here.

Hey guys, and gals, it was great wheeling with you. I had the opportunity to do a few trails I had not done before. Those Hils and Bowls (trail 1 C?) that we started with were a great warm up. And trail 10 (mud, mud and more mud) was not as bad as I thought a blue mud trail would be. Thanks, to Tom and Mike for some fine leading.

Oh, and Anthony, I know a thing or two about posing for picitures, espcially at ECXC.

We had a great time, even with the cold. I did realize that if we use the buggy on another winter run that I'm putting a windshield on there or wearing some goggles and a facemask
It was nice to meet some people off here and put some "faces with names". Thanks to Tom and Mike for leading the group for most of the day, and to Greg for letting me use his hi-lift after those two beads let go.

My only "breakage" was I somehow managed to snap the line on my rear suckdown winch, but still have no clue how it happened.

Since my wife had her hands curled up inside of her gloves all day she didn't drive until we hit the gauntlet and a small ledge around the comp course. She did pretty well considering it was her first time, but I'd have to say it was all due to her spotter
Image

Actually right before this next pic (it's a bit jittery-looking) she had stuck the rig up on a ~40deg angle with the front passenger just hanging up there. I had her coming forward cranked passenger, when I turned around to move down a little bit and when I turned back she didn't straighten out and started driving up the ending rocks with just the driver, while the rear dropped a little bit. The bugeyed look on her face was priceless, but she was all smiles after that...until she found out I didn't have a pic of it.
Image

We didn't get many pics because she refused to take her gloves off to do anything, and with all the extra bulk she had on her mobility, or lack of, reminded me of the younger son in a christmas story when he had his snowsuit on...

Even though it was just a test shot with the new camera I liked this one the best...

Here are therest of the pics

it was fun leading you guys around for a little bit, even though i managed to lose my traction bar at some point throughout the day.i have no clue how that happened. i think it might have happened after i left you guys, i made a right and tore up through the clear cut area, at the top i had to climb over some trees to get onto the powerline trail and i got a stick wedged around the back axle, that might have caused the problem, i pulled the stick out and continued on my way, i bet it fell off on the powerline. i will have to go out this weekend and see if can find it.

I forgot to mention! Kim got some wheel-time also, her first time driving off road. She only wanted to drive a few minutes, so she took the helm as we went from the South Property to the West Property.

I too had a great time!! Thanks to everyone who participated in the event, it was a blast. Good to see the people I haven't seen in far too long and great to meet some new faces as well. I hope you new guys stick around for more, you all did really well out there! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone out there next time!

Special thanks to the guys who made this run happen, they're who keeps us going. Much appreciated Anthony.

I didn't know I had to load them in reverse order so the order is backwards.
