I would if I could, file size is too big to e-mail, unless you know of a cheap (free) program that can compress it. Or we can make you a CD and send it to you.

Raring would work or just sending it through a P2P app. How big is the file?

Also, I'll be up for Xmas and could just stop by with a flash drive or pick up a CD from you with it on there...either way is fine with me

OOOPS! That's one of the reasons I replaced my muffler with a much smaller one, its tucked way up high now. The stock one on the first gen hangs down below the frame just like yours.

Update:

Well, after all my excitement, my stealership called this morning and now say they will not cover the damage under warranty, because I voided it by lifting my truck.

I asked her (my service manager) to provide me with the literature on my warranty that states when I add after market suspension components that I void my warranty. She said she could not and that such literature does not exist.

So, I currently filed a complaint and claim against Nissan. I signed my warranty and read it thoroughly... no where did it mention after market suspensions voiding my extended warranty. I should hear by the end of today or tomorrow.

This is bullsh*t.

I wish you well on this, and hope it works out for you. To be candid, warranty coverage under those circumstances is pretty questionable.

First, the warranty is with respect to manufacturing defects, I would expect most dealerships to immediately take the position that it was not caused by a defect but by driver conduct. Most dealers would assert that the break was cause by wheel spin which was followed by a sudden grabbing of traction, and that such is not covered by warranty.

Second, they may have a defensable position regarding a suspension lift The Xterra is an independent front suspension, and the relative height differences between the wheel and the differential will affect the angle of the shaft. That in turn may change the stress on the shaft to a point where the stress exceeds the design parameter. That's why a lot of the guys that lift a first generation Xterra install a differential drop kit.

The real issue is whether anything that you did caused the damage. Under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer cannot void a warranty for using non-OEM stuff unless that is cause of the damage. At a minimum, make them explain mechanically how the suspension lift caused precisely that type of damage. If they can't, then you have a point.

I?ll replace my ripped to crap exhaust when it can no longer pass inspection and not before. :D

My dealer has done warranty work on my junk since it was lifted just not on anything with aftermarket stuff on it. The only problem I?ve had is that they won?t replace anything until it?s failed so some stuff I?ve done on my own ?because I did not want to be stuck.
In your case the damage could have partially been a result of the lift (as K_enn has stated) and I was surprised when you posted that the warranty was covering it. Good luck bro.

all this "warranty" and dealing with the dealer talk has me nervous,My steering box is leaking and unfortunately my local Nissan dealership is owned by a bunch of crooks who will tell you stuff is not covered by warranty when it is.
