2007 UNYX Winery Tour

UNYX will once again hold a Finger Lakes winery tour, on August 18th. This year we will be touring wineries on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake.

Winery stops will include Wagner's Vineyard, Tickle Hill Winery, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards and Red Newt Cellars.

Nearby camping is available at Watkins Glen State Park in Watkins Glen, NY

People planning on camping will be responsible for making their own camping reservations. We will be staying in the Cayuga village loop. You book your campsite online using ReserveAmerica

We will meet at the lower park (the entrance to the Glen) at 10am on Saturday morning and head up the lake to Wagner's and then work our way back to town. We can then have a cookout or all go out to dinner, depending on how many of us participate.

If you are interested, let us know and let us know if you plan on camping.

I had planned on attending the wine tour/camping, but my girlfriend and I will just be getting back from a week vacation so we won't be able to make it.

If no ones else is interested in this event, it may soon be canceled. So speak up now if you are.

If it wasn't the one weekend the whole summer that I actually had advance plans I'd go...I've been wanting to get back up for a tour since I haven't gone on one in a few years

I'm definitely interested, but can't commit yet. (It's a common problem for me, ask my girlfriend). Watkins isn't far for me so I'd just be wine trailing, no camping.

The way it looks we're looking at the camping part of it and checking out the hiking trails and stuff around there so if it is cancelled we'll still have fun camping.Either way we're there :D

We hope to go. Just not positive yet because weekends are getting pretty crazy. I'll be certain soon.

This event was cancelled, but we went anyway for the camping. It was a little cool yesterday,it was in the mid 60's.We took a hike around the trails through the gorge,That was awesome! we took a lot of "scenery" pics, which I'll post very soon.My BMX challenge to race Speedy came up kind of short,we took the bikes to go pick up our trucks at the entrance of the gorge trail (we hiked from the bottom up to the camp sites) and while going down the big hill the rear hub on one of my bikes (the one I was riding) decided that it would blow out on me,it's still rideable, but the rear end shakes like a uneven washing machine, but hey it's the original rim and the hub is 24 years old...I think a upgrade may be in order. We had a great weekend and we'll C~Y'all next month for the Back To School Run.
