Micah, Jeff and I went wheeling near Jeff's in-laws at Burlington Flats, NY. We found some really nice trails, lots of mud, and did some exploring. It was a great time.

No damage, but Blu, Jeff's puppy, locked his truck with the keys in it and the truck running. We were in the middle of nowhere, BFE!
What's even funnier, after some despair, is that Micah's keys fit in Jeff's 2005 and unlocked the doors. What are the chances?

:)

Wow, now that's wierd! A very strange coincidence indeed. Must have been kind of disconcerting for Jeff to know that Micah's keys worked in his doors. I mean, what are the odds of that?

i see a 2005 in my future. :)

i think at the time, Jeff was just happy to get his truck unlocked. and yes, Jeff's keys work in my truck as well.

a fun time today..though i'm soaked to the bone! i'll post the few pics i took later on.

I wanted to DIE when I got back to the truck and I couldn't get in. Here I am, have two guys come up to my location for some wheeling, and my dog locks me out of my truck.

My thought process wasn't good while it was happening. Thinking of how much gas I have in the tank, over half a tank, and having the wipers and lights on were going to kill the battery once the fuel runs out.....PLUS HAVING A DOG STUCK IN THERE!

I can't believe that Micah's key worked, unfreaking believable. I'm very greatful and happy that it worked. But holy toledo is Nissan going to get a call about this one.

Definitly fun and definitly one of the best showers I've had lately lol. Soaked to the bone, just like you said.

Can't wait to see the pictures!

Well, the thing is, with the type of lock cylinders Nissan uses, there's only so many combinations of tumblers/keys they can use. There's bound to be overlap somewhere. But jeez, to have a key from an 01 work in the 05, that's a little wierd.

It's definitly one of those things that make you go hmm..

What are the chances that an 01 would fit an 05?

But if you really think about it, what are the chances that it would be OUR two vehicles that would match...

Nice photos, Micah. Thanks also for remembering to bring a camera. I always bring one. One more thing to remember to bring on the trails is an extra set of keys. I never have, but plan to know. Miles away from any civiliztion with the truck locked...what's the chance someones keys will fit your truck.:)

Again, it was a great day and we found some really nice trails. Thanks, Jeff, for thinking about it.;)

Vent visors are your friend.

I left my windows down...all of them, all the way down one evening, and a strong thunderstorm rolled through. My truck was soaked...the interior was dry...go figure.
