Question, See below pictures, does anyone know what the Black corrugated hose is for? it appears the red is the fule supply and the black must be to dump the fule back into the tank if there is extra pressure. I broke part of it where it connects to the top white fuel level sensor unit. But i dont think it is necessary because the fuel will still dump back into the tank. Let me know your thoughts. If i need it connected ill buy a new one but t appears it is not necessary. .

I can't see what broke..But... It will work as long as it's in the tank. the rubber on end is defuser for the fuel there is a constant flow returning to the tank from the pressure regulator on the engine. make sure it's secured to the housing or the other hose so it doesn't flop around and get stuck on something in the tank. Wire ties are fine to use.

Yes it is were the black hose connects to the level indicator. I drove around town no issues. Like Ernie mentioned, i will have flow back into the tank because that part is operational. I think im not explaining it correctly but i think there is no problem since it appeared to drive fine. Ill be driving to work this week with the xterra so ill find out soon enough if there is a problem. Thanks.
