yea, it's too long, doesn't fit the best. But I'll do some measurements later tonight and get some pictures done when Jay gets here.

The skid would require you to just drill 4 holes in each of the stock spring pads and then bolt the skidplate up using 2 ubolts.

Basically another ubolt plate is going to be the skidplate? My main thing is getting those shocks up out of the way. They are hanging down and just waiting to be ripped off...

Hmm. A Hi Jack holder, or a CO2 bottle holder, or removable storage bin.

My problem is the dog spends a ton of time back there.

What exactly do the storage rails look like?

Removable storage container would be pretty easy, I did one for a LR while down in NJ.

The CO2 holder I think rockaholic posted up some that he could get ahold of at a pretty decent price.

A Hi-lift holder would also be pretty easy. The only thing I see that could be a problem with Cornicks design is that if you fold the seats down the jack is going to be in a real wierd position. And, if you have someone in the backseat you really don't want them to smack the back of thier head on one of those accidentally.
If it would fit mounting it on the floor, or just above the floor above the rear wheelwells, that would be the best and safest spot.

I'm getting my tattoo next month though. :)

So the storage rails are like this [_] ? Basically a U shape with lips on the top?
All I would need to know is distance from the back of the seat to the end of the rear cargo area, and how high the seats are from the floor of the rear cargo area.
If you can get specs on the rails, that would help as well. I'm assuming Nissan sells accessories for them as well, so I could probably get some numbers there too...

Also, it doesn't fit going side-to-side in the rear cargo area? I used to be able to fit mine in the rear area of my Pathfinder having it sit on the wheelwells...

The positioning in your pics looks slightly dangerous / fatal if you ask me. :freak:

Chris, yes on the shapes, you got it. I'll get you measurements later on. Tomorrow night is not a good night for me, so it probably won't be until Friday.

And yes, it will lay down, I did some measurements. It's got about 54" from side to side with a net one side. But there is only one area that it will fit in and that's closest to the door. Once again, I'll take more pictures tomorrow.

Anthony, it's just a thought at this point and if a bracket is made correctly and used correctly, it wouldn't go anywhere. Also, anyone that has done the lobo shelf has lethal weapons in the back of their truck too.

Touch? :P -- but i don't have anything on that shelf nearly as heavy or missile-shaped as a hi-lift, plus i have a stretch net over it to hold my junk in place.

I definitely think the back of the floor is a good option. I know mine fits (in the 04) accross the wheelwells behind the seats and stays-put there without brackets.

It wouldn't look as cool as that side mount would, but it would be easier to access if you have a bunch of stuff in cargo area.

No, the skid is mounted underneath the stock Ubolt plate (or spring pad)
How far up do you plan to move the shocks? I only ask because I've taggged my rear sway bar mount while on the trails, and that's a good 3" higher than the location of the shock eye right now.

Yes, I understand that, but how exactly is it going to be mounted without exposing new bolts. Where exactly are these 4 holes that have to be drilled located on the stock plate to allow the mounting.

They will right right around the middle of the axle tube, in the rear. Anything can be tagged even when it's on the top of the axle tube. The main purpose is to raise it and allow it to move out of the way when dragging the axle over things. Anything below the axles tubes is vulnerable....

Oh and your pic isn't accessible...

The bracket itself could be made correctly, and safe, but I would only be concered under a real hard hit of the factory rails not holding. I'm assuming they are AL. The only other area is like I said earlier; someone riding in the backseat and, while wheeling, hitting a bump and then having them smack their head on it...
