I ended by stripping the driver side torsion bar adjuster bolt while re-indexing the bars this afternoon. Unfortunately, by the time I found a ride, Napa & Pepboys were closed. Lowes didn't have anything close to it.

Have any of you had luck sourcing these bolts from Napa/PepBoys or am I going to be limited to the dealer or getting in online? Would prefer to get it locally so I can get the X back running sooner.

Sueresh, they are pretty much OEM only.
There are some aftermarket ones are avail.

Maybe Mike S or someone has there old one.
Dealer should be next day and get the main Nut & lock nut too.

Thanks Ernie. I thought it might be difficult to get that bolt elsewhere. Will call the dealer tomorrow morning for the bolts & the two nuts.

Update - got new adjuster bolts/nuts from the dealer & cranked the torsion bars until there was about 1/2" between the stops. Looks great but the ride is crap.

Anyway to improve the ride besides lowering the front a bit or installing lower profile bump stops?

I think that crappy ride feel will go away after a day or so of driving around. I believe the front end still needs to settle.

Should the bump stops meet when the truck is on a lift? I had mine on a lift for a brake check & noticed that theres still room between the bump stops.
Should I be looking for new shocks?

Pull the lower shock bolt and jack it up.
if the travel goes all the way to the stop
the shock is too short and is topping out.

then you would need longer shocks.
